Giacomo Serpotta tra sacro e profano
2022
We shall be taking an innovative and original approach in our examination of the insuperable figure of Giacomo Serpotta, an outstanding Sicilian stucco sculptor of the 18th century. The complete artistic output of Giacomo Serpotta is traced, oscillating between the sacred and the profane in the sculptural adornment of many churches and oratories. Here, Giacomo Serpotta shifts from the Baroque to Rococo, originating a sculptural art that is profoundly innovative in its language and symbology. Formal reading and chromatic-spatial games are intertwined with the symbolic in the light of significant essays by Carl Gustav Jung, Martin Heidegger and Carlo Giulio Argan
Glen Philips: Western Australia's poet of the land and environment
2020
„In the Hollow of the Land”, widząc w nim egzemplifikację wspólnego rozumienia świata, jaki jest …
A Russian Radical Conservative Challenge to the Liberal Global Order : Aleksandr Dugin
2019
The chapter examines Russian political theorist Aleksandr Dugin’s (b. 1962) challenge to the Western liberal order. Even though Dugin’s project is in many ways a theoretical epitome of Russia’s contemporary attempt to profile itself as a regional great power with a political and cultural identity distinct from the liberal West, Dugin can also be read in a wider context as one of the currently most prominent representatives of the culturally and intellectually oriented international New Right. The chapter introduces Dugin’s role on the Russian right-wing political scene and his international networks, Russian neo-Eurasianism as his ideological footing, and his more recent “fourth political t…

Les logiques herméneutiques
2020

Releasing upper Lapland : Martin Heidegger and the question concerning nature
2008
This study is a phenomenological-hermeneutical analysis of the Upper Lapland forest conflict. Reindeer husbandry, state forestry and nature-based tourism are the main sources of livelihood in Upper Lapland. Also large, state-owned wilderness areas have been reserved for nature conservation. Utilisation of the forests and wilderness areas for different purposes has lead to a situation where the livelihoods are forced to compete with each other and conflicts between the different interest groups have arisen during recent years. The theoretical background of the study is Martin Heidegger’s critique of technology and his idea of Releasement (Gelassenheit). He was concerned with technology, not …

Radical conservatism and the Heideggerian right : Heidegger, de Benoist, Dugin
2022
The paper studies the significance of Martin Heidegger's philosophy of history for two key thinkers of contemporary radical conservatism and the Identitarian movement, Alain de Benoist and Aleksandr Dugin. Heidegger's often-overlooked affinities with the German “conservative revolution” of the Weimar period have in recent years been emphasized by an emerging radical-conservative “right-Heideggerian” orientation. I first discuss the later Heidegger's “being-historical” narrative of the culmination and end of the metaphysical foundations of Western modernity in the contemporary Nietzschean era of nihilism and of an emerging postmodern “other beginning” of Western thinking, focused on historic…
